I haven't made a Christmas Wish List since I was a kid. Every Christmas, the Sears Wish Book would come out and my cousin Patrick and I would go though all the toys and pick out what we wanted. Well, I don't see Patrick on a regular basis anymore, but I'm going to make this list in honor of him. Besides, I need to put this stuff in writing if I'm gonna get anything for Christmas this year.
1. "Casablanca: And Party Every Day" book. You can check it out BY GOING HERE.
2. Navigation System. I always thought they were pretty cool, but never really wanted one. Then, Brandy and I borrowed my dad's Magellan when we went to Florida in May. It helped A LOT! I'm not really picky, as long as it has a 4" screen. Here's one: A TOMTOM FROM WAL-MART.
3. Canon 580 EX ii Flash. I know I won't actually get this for Christmas because it's too expensive. But, I REALLY want this one, so I decided to put it on here anyway. Bask in its glory by CLICKING THIS LINK.
4. "Ford County" by John Grisham. Grisham is one of my favorite authors. His new book was just released Tuesday. This is what it LOOKS LIKE AT AMAZON.
5. "Undone" by Karin Slaughter. Yeah, another book. At least they're affordable. Another one of my favorite authors and her new book recently came out. It's out IN HARDCOVER RIGHT NOW.
6. "KISS: Xtreme Closeup & Konfidential" DVD. I have these on VHS, but who watches that crap anymore? Both videos have been re-released and repackaged as a single DVD. It's available at AMAZON AT THIS ADDY.
More to come... maybe.
Okay. After a two-month break from Vox I am back! I have been kinda busy over the past couple of months, but really haven't shot as much as I'd like. My whole reason for starting my Vox account was to force myself to shoot more. Sometimes it work, and sometimes it does not.
I recently took a trip to Milwaukee, with a very brief stop in Chicago. The following shots are Chicago. As always, give each photo a couple of clicks to see the larger image.
I've been casually working on a series of silhouettes. I haven't gone into full-on Silhouette Project mode yet, but I have been paying a bit more attention to the silhouette photo opportunities around me. I took some silhouette shots of Brandy hooping about a month-and-a-half ago (just look a few posts down the page) and thought they came out kinda cool. So, I decided to shoot some others on our trip to Topsail Island a few days ago.
Here's my favorite, and don't forget to give it a couple of click to see the larger shot:
I haven't posted in over a month, but I really haven't missed it. Maybe that isn't the best thing to type, but it's true. Oh well, my love-hate relationship with Vox (and blogs in general) will continue.
I had a couple of photos shoots on Wednesday. Here are some of the photos from my shoot with Melissa.
Well, I don't post on Vox for a while and then, Bam!, three posts in 24 hours.
While watching television about an hour ago, Brandy and I heard sirens. We didn't think much about it at first, but the sirens kept going... and then got closer... MUCH closer. There was a fire in our building! The lady downstairs and to the left of us had a kitchen fire while she was sleeping. She woke up, smelled smoke, then saw the flames. She sleeps naked (she informed me of this while the firemen were entering our building), so she grabbed the closest thing and put it on. I am only sharing this fact with you because it was a bit surreal to see her outside wearing an evening dress. She also has a daughter around eight-years-old. They both got out safely.
I learned a long time ago that rescuers rescue, onlookers look-on, and photographers photograph. Guess which one I am. Then guess what I did. If you aren't sure, I provided photographs to help you decide. =)
By the way, the firefighter pointing at me was not upset with me for taking pictures. He was simply asking me a question about my condo.
Oh, as always, give each picture a couple of clicks to get to the larger photo.
