It has been quite a while since I updated Vox with any actual photography. I haven't had much time to shoot, so all of my updates have been camera phone shots. Back on April 1st, however, I did take a trip out to Topsail Island to snap a few shots. My friend Malia recently opened an art gallery/gift shop there and we decided I should hang a few pieces. Instead of using some older work, I decided to shoot new stuff. Here are the three that are now hanging at Galleria Tropicale:
Okay, she didn't really make me. But, she has been wanting to go back to The Little Theatre Rose Garden to shoot again. Since we had workers in our apartment today, I figured today would work out great. Here are a couple of shots. I may post more later. Or not.
As always, please enlarge the photos. They look much better at full size.
I like the first shot, but it looks a little too Hallmark. Hey! Maybe that is my true calling in life!
Before work Friday we went to Lake Johnson to take some photos. Brandy posted several photos of the day's events. Here's my contribution:
I bought a new Canon 40D, so today was photo day. We hit up The Little Theatre Rose Garden and Pullen Park. Check out my shots, and then head over and check out Brandy. She also got a new camera.

There was a lunar eclipse early this morning, and Brandy and I were lucky enough to catch it. I actually didn't know there was going to be an eclipse. Earlier in the night I saw a headline on Yahoo! news that mentioned an eclipse, but I paid no attention to it. While driving down the road this morning, though, I noticed that the full moon didn't look quite so full. So, when we got home I broke out the camera and we ran around the apartment complex until we could get a decent view. Here are the pictures.
The first one was taken at 5:37 AM. The last one was taken at 5:44 AM. From the pictures, you can see how fast the Earth was eclipsing the moon.
